Leszek Wyczolkowski is a classically trained painter and etcher. He has a background in cartography and his work involved hand drawn maps and lettering which demanded precision, accuracy, and patience. That skill set combined with creativity has profoundly influenced his artistic practice of etching, mezzotint, and painting.

He has exhibited in over 180 solo and group shows internationally and his works are in the permanent collections of museums and public art galleries around the globe as well as corporate and private collections.

“Although circle and square are seemingly the simplest of forms I find they possess a sophisticated and enduring appeal. In creating simplified compositions with seamless colour transitions the works take on a feel of harmony and balance and allow for that elusive quality of nuance to resonate with our individual emotions.”
