Located in the heart of Montreal's vibrant international district, a stone's throw from Old Montreal, and just across the street from the award winning landmark: Le Palais des Congres, galerie MX is a distinct contemporary architectural space that welcomes guests from its street level avenue Viger entrance into a light-filled, dramatic interior that spans two levels of chic, sophisticated, and modernised space. Our 6000 square feet gallery will lend a distinctive, creative edge to your next event.

Designed to provide optimum viewing of art works created by established artists, galerie MX is uniquely equipped to host a variety of corporate or public events, such as; business meetings, corporate team-building, weddings, anniversaries, fundraisers, luncheons, receptions, concerts, lectures, presentations and conferences. The eye-catching, bi-level gallery can accommodate up to 375 guests.

galerie MX offers its guests to take advantage of its exceptional space and conveniently situated location of downtown Montreal. We believe that our gallery is an ideal environment to host any kind of celebration or group function. While providing an attractive setting among our oeuvres, the gallery makes place for an impressive and innovative option for event planning.

Payment Information

50% deposit is due upon acceptance and signing of the contract ; final payment is due the day of the event. All major credit cards are accepted. Taxes are applicable.

Additional Staff

One staff member is included in rental rates, up to a maximum of 100 guests. For additional guests an additional staff member (Hostess / Coat check) is required at a rate of $20.00 per hour for the duration of the event (min 4hrs.).

How do I schedule an event?

It's easy. Call 514.315.8900 or email info@galeriemx.com and give us some basic information about your event---number of people, date, type of event. One of our events staff will contact you to answer additional questions.

How much notice is required for a reservation?

For some events, one week\'s notice is all that is needed. We also will take reservations up to a year in advance. We can only guarantee a reservation once you have completed our rental agreement that our staff will supply you with.

Do I need to make a down payment to reserve the space?

Yes, to ensure our scheduling commitments we require a partially-refundable deposit returned with the rental agreement. The gallery accepts corporate and private checks, as well as major credit cards.

Do you work with specific caterers?

We can recommend a number of exceptional caterers that can fulfill the varied culinary needs of corporations, non-profit groups, and private clients.

What times are available for an event?

We are flexible in accommodating events everyday of the week including weekends.

Does the gallery provide parking?

The gallery does not provide parking, however, there are a number of parking options such as parking lots, and meter parking available right beside the gallery. If your guests desire valet service, we can provide the appropriate arrangements at an additional cost.

Can additional decorations be brought into the gallery?

galerie MX's exhibitions offer exceptional environments for events. We ask that guests respect the gallery walls as exhibition space.

If you have specific decorations needs we will be happy to assist you to accommodate your needs.

Art Rental and Sales Service enables individuals and corporate clients to enjoy original works of art at an affordable cost. For potential buyers, the service is an opportunity to live with a work before committing to the final purchase. No long term rental is required. For corporate clients, the rental of art is a way to enhance a work environment while avoiding the capital outlay required for a purchase. In corporate situations, rental fees are considered a tax-deductible business expense.

Rental Guidelines

Corporate entities, financial institutions, major hotels, film production companies, private individuals, as well as small businesses, who wish to accent their interiors with the distinctive works created by some of Canada\'s best emerging, professional artists, and international artists can be discovered at Galerie MX.

All artwork at Galerie MX is available for rent; we offer paintings, sculpture, drawings and mixed media, as well as printed matter of various sizes.

Our art rental program offers the opportunity to rent artworks for the home, business, and corporate office, giving you access to a wide variety of original artworks by artists from around the globe and allowing you to change your art periodically at a reasonable price.

Taxes will be added to the rental costs.
Rented art may be purchased at any time during the rental period.
Up to 6 months of rental payments may be deducted from the listed
price at time of purchase.
Employees wishing to buy artwork rented by their business or company may deduct those payments from the purchase price.
Flexible payment schedules can be arranged without service charges.
Businesses are reminded that art rental expenses and purchases are tax deductible.
