GINETTE RENO PARTICIPATES IN CHILDREN’S CAUSE with the Make-A-Wish® Quebec Foundation!
Montreal, November 5, 2008 – The Make-A-Wish® Quebec Foundation, in association with Galerie MX, will hold a cocktail dînatoire on Thursday, December 4, 2008, during which the paintings by 12 children with life-threatening illnesses will be featured in a silent auction, alongside the paintings by 12 renowned painters. Much beloved artist Ginette Reno will be our special guest for this benefit evening. All monies raised will go to the Make-A-Wish® Quebec Foundation.
Make-A-Wish® Quebec is part of the Make-A-Wish® Foundation, the largest non-profit wish granting organization in the world, serving 30 countries with international affiliates on five continents (Make-A-Wish International®). To this day, Make-A-Wish® has helped make nearly 200,000 wishes come true for children around the world.
Countless volunteers work hard year after year to ensure the wishes of children are granted. Volunteers are the heart and soul of Make-A-Wish®. Without their tireless efforts and tremendous commitment, the Foundation would be unable continue making the wishes of seriously ill children come true.

Galerie MX has built its reputation around high caliber artists whose singular creations reflect talent. Francois Lauzon, a reputable local artist and a partner of Galerie MX, says the entire team was delighted to host the Foundation’s “Paint Day for Wishes” event and thrilled about the upcoming cocktail dînatoire “A Wish for the Season”. Further more, the art gallery will donate 10% of proceeds from additional paintings sold that evening.
12 children with life-threatening illnesses have been mentored by 12 renowned painters to create their very own masterpieces on canvas. The artists have also donated one of their own paintings, each valued between $2,100 and $9,000, for a total value of over $50,000. Contemporary artists include: Case-Fox, Besner, Claes, Gaudette, Milo, Bocaert, Dallaire, Laxer, Lavoie, Schirmer, Prud-Homme, and Niko.
